Chat & Summarize

On-screen copilot

Just say “AYO, summarize this.”

AYO looks at the window in front of you, writes a clean summary, and opens it as a brand-new chat — titled, ready to keep going.

  • No copy-paste. AYO uses what is already on your screen.

  • Auto-titled chat. The summary lives in its own thread you will find later.

  • Keep going from it. Ask follow-ups, request bullets, or turn it into tasks.

Tap a dot to jump, or press play to cycle.

Background
Coastal cities have been adapting since the early 2000s, but mostly piecemeal.
The 2024 IPCC update reframed adaptation as the dominant near-term lever.
Key claims
Resilience spending now outperforms emissions cuts on a 5-year horizon.
The hardest gap isn’t funding — it’s coordination across jurisdictions.

Voice or typed, AYO reads what is on your screen and opens a brand-new chat with the summary inside — titled, ready to keep going.

AYO ships small. New instincts land in the app the same week we figure them out — the kind of stuff you only discover the more you use it.

Everything you do with AYO stays on your side.

AYO listens, watches, and remembers — all on the machine in front of you. When you ask something, your question goes straight to the model. It never stops by us on the way.

That's the whole loop. Your machine asks. The model answers. We're not in the middle of it — and we don't have a copy when it's done.
On your machine, on one side of the line: your voice, what's on your screen, what you've been working on, the notes AYO kept for you, your signed-in account, and your history. Across the line, alone on the other side: the model, which only ever sees the bare question.

Your questions aren't in our logs.

Your questions go straight from your machine to the model. They don't pass through us, they don't land in our logs, and we couldn't read them back if we tried. The only people in the conversation are you and the model.

Questions about AYO

Everything people ask before they hit the early-access button. Made by AYOLAB.

What is AYO?

AYO is a private desktop AI companion by AYOLAB. It lives quietly on your PC, wakes up when you say "AYO," sees your screen with permission, hears the tone in your voice, and runs real tasks for you. Think of it as a best friend who already knows what you are working on.

How is AYO different from Copilot, ChatGPT Desktop, or Claude Desktop?

AYO is ambient, not modal. You do not open a tab and re-explain context — AYO is already listening, already caught up. It is also local-first: screenshots are never saved, audio is never stored, and only the question you deliberately send leaves your machine. Most other assistants are a cloud chat with a desktop wrapper. AYO is a real desktop companion.

Does AYO work offline?

The wake word, speech-to-text, screen reading, and emotion detection all run locally on your machine — those work offline. The reasoning step uses an LLM that can be self-hosted via Ollama (fully offline) or routed to a cloud model. Your raw context never leaves your machine either way.

Is my data safe with AYO?

Four promises, no exceptions: no screenshots saved, no audio saved, no raw text saved, and only short summaries are stored — on your machine — which you can delete anytime. The only thing that ever reaches AYOLAB servers is the question you deliberately send.

What does AYO cost?

AYO is in early access — free to join the waitlist at heyayo.com. Founders pricing will be locked in for life for the first signups. No public pricing or download yet.

Which operating systems does AYO support?

AYO is built for Windows, macOS, and Linux desktops. Early-access builds roll out per-OS as they pass internal QA.

Can I turn off proactive help in AYO?

Yes. Proactive help is on by default but fully toggleable in settings. You can also tune sensitivity (how stuck you have to look before AYO speaks first) and silence it entirely in gaming mode.

How do I get AYO early access?

Visit heyayo.com, drop your email on the early-access card, and you will get a position number. AYOLAB emails you when your build is ready — early signups also get a wake-word model trained to your own voice.
