What AYO can do

• Wake word — "AYO". Say "AYO" from any app and AYO answers out loud. The wake word is detected on your PC, and nothing is sent until you talk. Ctrl+N does the same without speaking.
• Voice conversation. Talk naturally and AYO answers in its own voice, in one of three personalities: Chill Smart, Excited Inventor, or Lazy Sleepy.
• Silent Ask. Press Alt+Shift+S anywhere to type instead of talking. Tab switches between General, Screen, Agent, and Crop, and the answer waits in a small card in the corner while you keep working.
• Hover to ask. While AYO is listening, rest your cursor on a word or sweep over a chart and ask. AYO sends a small picture of just that spot to the vision model for that one question and does not save it.
• Proactive mode. Off until you turn it on (Plus and Pro). AYO checks your screen on a timer you pick and, when it can really help, offers one thing, like turning your slides into a diagram. Otherwise it stays quiet.

AYO privacy, in six lines

1. AYO listens for its name on your PC. Your voice clip goes out only after you talk, so it can be turned into words.
2. A look at your screen stays on your PC until you ask something that needs a picture, or a suggestion cycle actually runs.
3. Facts you tell it to remember are saved on your PC. You can delete one, or all of them.
4. Incognito pauses new memories, screen looks, and saved chat for that session. It does not wipe what is already there.
5. Sending, paying, and deleting wait for you to say yes.
6. The model vendors see the question you sent. They do not see a copy of your whole disk.

• Say AYO. You say "AYO", the edges glow ice blue, and the status pill goes from Standby to AYO Detected to Speaking. User: “AYO.” AYO: “Yoooo!”
• Silent Ask. Alt+Shift+S opens a text box near the bottom of the screen. The answer waits in a card in the corner. User: “What is a topic sentence?” AYO: “It’s the sentence that tells the reader what the paragraph is about.”

Wake word

A short word that wakes a voice assistant. AYO’s wake word is "AYO", detected on your PC. Nothing is sent until you have said it and started talking.

Ambient AI

An AI assistant that sits next to your work instead of inside a tab. You call it from whatever app you are in, and it can look at that app when you ask. AYO is built as ambient AI.

Local-first AI

Proactive AI
